Name: Gerald A. Yelle Date: December 7, 1936 - January 29, 2013 Obituary: Gerald A. Yelle, 85 of N. Racquette Road, passed away on Jan. 31, 2013 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice. Gerald was born on April 19, 1927 in St. Antoine, Quebec the son of Atmos and Rosa (Prevost) Yelle. On August 16, 1951 he married Henrietta Matthews at St. Philamina Church in Churubusco, NY. Henny predeceased him on Sept. 1, 2011. Gerald was employed at Alcoa and was a member of the 25 year club at Alcoa, member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1141. He is survived by his four children, Michael G. and wife Pamela of Manteo, NC; David J. and wife Cheryl of Norfolk; Joyce and husband Gary LaCourse of Webster, NY; Anne Lambert and companion Sean Smith of Massena; eight grandchildren, twin great grandchildren, and a sister Odetta Trombley of Valleyfield, Que. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley. A Mass of Resurrection will be held 2:00pm Monday Feb. 4, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Church in Massena with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. Interment will be in the spring in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may be received on Sunday February 3, 2013 from 2-5 pm at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
