Name: Rolande D. Lannis Obituary: Rolande D. Lannis, 82 of County Route 41, passed away Monday night (December 3, 2012) at Massena Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 31, 1930 in Oak Park, IL; the daughter of Roland and Bessie (Dupey) Dewey. Rolande was a Registered Nurse employed at the St. Regis Nursing Home, and retired in May 2000. She married Robert C. Lannis on December 29, 1951 in Bellville, NY. She and her husband enjoyed traveling after retirement. Rolande is survived by her loving husband Robert, her two sons, Guy and Mary Lannis of Massena; Matt Lannis of Maui, HI; and her daughter Robin and Steve LaCourse of Massena. Also surviving Rolande are her four grandchildren, Ryan Lannis of Massena, NY; Myah Lannis of Kingston, NY; Marcy Lannis of Lowville, NY; Andrea LaCourse of Portland, OR; and two great grandchildren, Molly and Noah Lannis both of Massena, NY. Rolande was the last of five siblings. A celebration of Life for Rolande D. Lannis will be held on Dec. 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Friends and family may call on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 starting 12:00 until the time of celebration. Rolande passed away on Dec. 3, 2012 at Massena Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are under the care of Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Memorial contributions may be made out to the Trinity Catholic Endowment Fund.
