Name: Dorran H. Martin Date: August 2, 1920 - April 20, 2012 Obituary: Dorran H. Martin, 91 of Dishaw Road, Chase Mills, passed away on April 20, 2012 at his home. Dorran was employed at Alcoa for over 30 years as a supervisor, and also worked on his farm. Born on August 2, 1920 in Norfolk, NY the son of Harvey and Sarah (Wilber) Martin. He proudly served his country as a truck driver during World War II. He married MaryEllen (Dumas) Dishaw in 1960. Mrs. Martin predeceased him on January 9, 2008. Dorran is survived by his children, Patty and husband William Cushman of of Geneseo, NY , Donald and Sandy Martin of Norwood, NY: Dale and Barbara Martin of NC: Kenneth and Julie Martin of Palmyra, NY: William and Darcy Martin of NC , daughter Tina and husband Ken Seguin of Massena, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, he is also survived by a brother, Daryl and Pat Martin of Norwood, a sister Doris Clark of Chase Mills, sister in-laws Mae Babbith of Portland OR; Hilda Baker of Lisbon. He liked to collect stamps, and spending time in the woods, along with farming. There will be no calling hours or funeral services for Dorran H. Martin. Interment will be in Hale Cemetery in Norfolk at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
