Clary, 49, of Matthews, North Carolina formerly of Massena will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Sacred Heart. The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Steven died Sunday (January 29, 2012) in North Carolina. Surviving him are his wife Virginia; a son, Joseph, whom lives at home; a daughter, Linzi, who attends New Hampshire Instutite of Art, his mother Arleen of Massena, six brothers and sisters Michael and his wife Linda of South Colton, Rick of Massena, Kim Clary of Massena, Laurie Emond of Massena, Scott and his wife Pat of Massena , Lisa and her husband Michael DuCom of South Carolina, several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Cathy Clary of Massena, David White of Massena, Timothy White and his wife Jennifer of Russell, NY, Theresa and Steven Parkinson of Chase Mills, NY. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Steven was born May 20, 1962 in Massena, NY the son of Michael and Arleen Kirkey Clary. He graduated from Massena High School in 1980 and went on to attend the DeVry Institute and than graduated from Canton ATC in 1983. Steven married Virginia White on July 30, 1988 at the Church of the Sacred Heart. He worked for the NYS Power Authority for 27 years before moving to North Carolina to work for Duke Energy in Charlotte. Steven enjoyed golfing, computers and all the latest in technology, watching and playing hockey, down hill skiing and snowboarding. He also enjoyed building guitars with his son.
