Sharpe, 89, of Fenton St. Waddington, where she was a 65 year resident, passed away February 21, 2010 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Prayer services will be Wednesday at 7:00 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, in Waddington. Friends and family may be received on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service, at the Phillips Memorial Home, 28 Clinton St. Waddington. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery in the spring. Kathleen is survived by two daughters Davalene and husband Robert Layng of Ogdensburg,and Cheryl and husband Louis Wilcox, of Wassaic, NY, two sons Gary D. Sharpe of Waddington and Brian M. of Canandaigua, NY. Nine grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, David L., a daughter Marguerite "Peggy Tomah in 1985, and two sisters, and a brother in -law. Marie Fournier, Marguerite Fletcher. Two brothers and wives George and Hebert Lavair. Born May 20, 1920 in Brasher the daughter of George and Gertrude (Primeau) Lavair. She married David L. Sharpe on May 22, 1942 at St. Mary's Church in Waddington with Msgr. Louis Berube. Mr. Sharpe predeceased her on March 2, 1974. She was a homemaker and also worked at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center for a time. She and her husband ran a mobile home park during the construction of the Seaway in the 1950's in Waddington. They also ran an antique business as D & K Antiques in Waddington. She was a communicant of St. Mary's in Waddington. At the family's request memorial contributions may be made to Waddington Rescue Squad or a charity of one's choice.
