Legault, 88, formerly of Center St. and the Highland Nursing Home, will be Wednesday at 12:00 pm at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Massena. Friends and family may be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews St. Massena. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery in Louisville in the spring. Pauline passed away peacefully on January 17, 2010 at the Massena Memorial Hospital. Pauline is survived by her children, Sheila and husband Alan Peets of Massena, Jack and wife Kim Legault of Morrisville, NC. Eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. A brother Andre "Arthur" Chartrand of Middletown, OH, sisters Rosemary Farnsworth of Ft. Jackson, NY and Louise Allen of Ogdensburg, NY. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jeannine Hamilton, and Madelene Mitchell. Born November 9, 1921 in Hull, Quebec the daughter of Napoleon and Rhea (Lauzon) Chartrand. She married James F. Legault on October 17, 1942 at St. Mary's Church in Massena. Mr. Legault predeceased her on March 19, 1997. Pauline was employed at M. H. Fishman's Five and Dime Store in Massena as a sales clerk. She was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary.
