Lawrence Fobare, 70 of Coles Creek Road, Waddington will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church in Waddington with the Rev. Msgr. Robert Lawler presiding. Friends and family may be received on Tuesday December 15, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena, 64 Andrews St. Massena. Internment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waddington. Mr. Fobare passed away on December 12, 2009 at Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville, NY. Lawrence is survived by his wife Mary, four children, John C. and wife Michelle of Waddington, Michael L. and wife Jessica of Clarksburg, West Virginia, Laura Chapman of Brookston, IN. Rita and husband Dennis Foley of Asheville, NC. 13 Grandchildren. Two brothers, and two sisters, Eugene and Paul Fobare of Rensselaer Falls, NY, Alice Carr of Waddington, Eleanor Winslow of Marcellus, NY. He was predeceased by a sister Rita Robinson and a grandson Cole Fobare. Born on December 18, 1938 in Ogdensburg, NY the son of Charles and Ethel (Lamoureux) Fobare. He owned and operated the family dairy farm. In the 1950's he started a career in moving buildings during the St. Lawrence Seaway construction, until the time of his death. In 1970 he and his wife Mary started Seymour's Commission Sales in De Kalb Junction, NY. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4762 in Waddington. He enjoyed playing cards, schuffle board, water skiing, and loved to fly. The Knights of Columbus will hold a service on Tuesday at 8:00 pm at the funeral home. At the family's request memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
