be in Calvary Cemetery in Massena.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Mrs. Martin passed away Sunday (June 1, 2008), at Massena Memorial Hospital in Massena, NY. She is survived by her children, Christine and her husband Eugene Arquette of Massena, N.Y., Marie and husband Jimmy Pitts of Ogdensburg, N.Y., sons, David and wife Gloria Clemmo of Rochester, N.Y., Lawrence and wife Viola Martin of Rochester, N.Y, Donald Martin and companion Linda of Tennessee, Philip Martin and Diane Arcet of Norfolk, N.Y. Timothy and wife Sue Martin of Massena, N.Y. Debbie Martin of Massena. 62 grandchildren which include her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the ones that call her gram. She was predeceased by a son Michael and a daughter Nancy in infancy. Born August 18, 1921 in Norfolk, NY, the daughter of Frank and Julianne (Revier) Clemmo. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially when they called her "Gram". She also enjoyed gardening, going on long car rides on Sundays and cooking. She was an animal lover. She was a homemaker. |

Thursday June 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Phillips Memorial
Home in Massena. .Burial will be at the convenience of the
family.
Calling hours will be held Thursday 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral. Mrs. Morris died Tuesday (June 3, 2008), at Massena Memorial Hospital in Massena, NY., due to heart problems. Surviving Sally are her husband James Morris; her mother Betty Grandjean of Henderson, NY. Two daughters, Sherry Morris and Karen Morris both of Massena, N.Y. A sister and two brothers, Sandy Grandjean, David "Zek" Grandjean and Ronnie Grandjean all of Henderson, N.Y. Four grandchildren. Sally was born August 4, 1952 in Watertown, NY, the daughter of Earl and Betty (Cooley) Grandjean. She graduated from Watertown, Henderson Schools. She married James Morris on December 29, 1973 in Henderson, NY. She has resided in Massena for the past 14 years. Sally enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.

formerly of 306 Jones Rd. Madrid, went to be with her Lord
on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Preston Health Center,
Hilton Head, South Carolina. It was Martha's wish to have no calling hours or services. Interment will take place in Madrid Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Rev. Noel Allen will be officiating the service. Martha is survived by one son, James H. Hooker of Crystal Lake, Ill; stepsons, Maxwell Fisher and Gerald Fisher both of Madrid; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Warren (Marion) Schantz of Lowville, and Mrs. William (Ann) Waldruff of Bergen; sister, Alberta Gebhardt of Homosasassa, FL; 25 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by one stepson Bryon Hooker; step-daughter, Ruth Woodruff; brother's Herbert and Fredric Agle; and sisters, Adeline Feasley and Ida Rothfuss. She attended schools in Collins. She married Harvey Hooker who predeceased her in 1963. She married Floyd Fisher in1971 in Bergen. She was employed as a cafeteria worker at Eden Central School. She and her husband spent winters in Zephyrhills Fl. and summers in Madrid. She loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. PM at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home, Syracuse.
A lifelong resident of Massena, NY and graduated of Canton ATC, Marion was a member of Alpha Chi Omicron Sorority and was employed by Massena Memorial Hospital. Later in life, she moved to Liverpool, NY to be near her family. She had a passion for making crafts especially Teddy Bears. An avid reader, Marion enjoyed her children and rock garden. Her favorite sayings were, "don't forget to stop and smell the roses" and "no one ever promised you a rose garden". Marion was a special friend and beloved family member, whose affectionate smile and quick wit will be terribly missed. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Preston E. Wells in 2006. Marion is survived by her children, David Wells of Manchester, NH, Susan (Jerry) Calhoun of Arlington, VA, and Jane (George) Tartick of Liverpool; her precious grandchildren, Nathan, Everett, Eric, Emily, and Adam; one great-granchild. Liam, who was her treasure. We would like to specially thank the 12th floor staff at Cunningham, Loretto Geriatric Center for their loving care given to our mother.

Ave., Waddington, will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at the

hours or funeral services. Mrs. Thompson died Thursday afternoon, June 5, at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. She is survived by her husband, Robert R.Thompson; her son, Robert S. and his wife Marita Thompson of Louisville, CO; daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Lee Bruso Waddington, and Robin and Charles Deck, Palmyra; stepdaughter and husband, Peggy Sue and Michael Levato, Canton; sisters, Charlene (William) Reed, Norwood, Pauline (Gene) Davis, Massena, and Nancy (Alex) Fraser, Ft. Pierce, FL; sister-in-law Jean Aumell, Waddington; grandchildren, Joseph Carkner, Daniel Naugle, Christopher Deck, Robert and David Thompson, Andrew Bruso, and Anthony Levato: five great-grandchildren; and a special niece Betty Jean Clark, Waddington. She was predeceased by her brothers, P. Calvin and Charles Aumell. She was born Sept 4, 1928, in Wadington the daughter of Phillip and Tina (Mattice) Aumell. She graduated from Waddington High School and from Plattsburgh State Teachers College School of Nursing. She was a member of the Nurse Cadet Corps during WWII. She married Robert R. Thompson in Waddington June 19, 1948. Mrs Thompson was a registered nurse and Nurse Administrator at the NY State Psychiatric Centers in Wingdale and Ogdensburg for 35 years, retiring in 1983. She enjoyed winters in Brooksville, FL. She loved reading and devoting time to he beloved family. Memorials may be made to the Waddington Rescue Squad.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena. Mrs Brown died Sunday June 8, 2008 at the home of her daughter Winnie Loller with whom she resided with. Survived by four daughters, Jean Austin of Malone; Mrs. Allen (Joan) McGlaughlin of Massena; Mrs. Bernard (Judy) Traynor of Adams Center; Mrs. Jeffrey (Winnie) Loller of Fairfax, Vt. Seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren. A sister and brother Leo Castagnier of Waddington, Mrs.Tom (Claire) Hazel of Massena, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Eleanor Williams and a brother Ivan Castagnier. Born April 9, 1924 in Cornwall, Ont the daughter of Charles and Elsie (LaFave) Castagnier. She was educated in Massena Schools. She was a bookkeeper at Levine's Clothing Store for 38 years. Winnie was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bingo and being surrounded by her family.

There will be no public calling hours. Mr. Speer died Tuesday (June 10, 2008), unexpectedly at his home in Massena, NY. He is survived by his wife Karen Speer; three sons, Donald W. Speer, Jr. of Norfolk, N.Y., Stephen D. and wife Christine Speer of Massena, N.Y. Robert F. Speer of Massena, N.Y. A grandson, Logan of Massena. Two sisters, Mary Jane Logan of Massena, N.Y., Mrs. Janet and Eddie Thornton of Massena, N.Y. Born March 16, 1931 in Massena, NY, the son of Walter and Doris (Wells) Speer. He was employed at Alcoa, and later entered employment at the St. Lawrence Seaway. He returned to Alcoa where he was a furnace operator and retired in 1990. He served in the U. S. Marines from 1950-1954. He married Louise Orologio, the marriage ended in divorce. He later married to Karen Brown on September 23, 1980. He was a member of AMVETS Post # 4, American Legion Post #79, US Marine Corps League in Hogansburg. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Florence went to be with her Lord on Thursday morning, June 12, 2008 at the Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. where she had been a patient since June 3, 2008. Florence is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles "Gary" and Candy Prairie of Massena, NY; L. Burke and Rhonda Prairie of Greensboro, NC. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith Watkins of Schnectady,NY; Roy and Janet Watkins of Massena, NY; Clair and Joan Watkins of Lockport, NY. Sisters and brother-in-law, Sylvia Greene of Massena, NY; Joan Puskar of Pittsburgh, PA and Dorthea and Robert Clark of Fayetteville, NY. Grandchildren, Trista and DanGirand; Ryan and Sarah Prairie both of Massena, NY. Several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Mrs. Pellegrino was predeceased by her husbands, Laurence Prairie and Vincent Pellegrino. Also predeceased by her Brother, Miles Watkins. She was Born on August 18, 1921 in Brockville, Ontario, the daughter of the late, Everett and Dorothea (Miles) Watkins. She graduated from Massena High School. Florence worked for numerous companies which included the New York Telephone Company, a Sales women for Sarah Coventry Jewelry and she also worked as a Licensed Realtor. Florence was a receptionist for Dr. Grubaum Offices and she also worked as a Private Duty Nurse taking care of the sick in their homes. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and was very devoted to Lord. Mrs. Pellegrino worked as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, the United Methodist Church and the Massena Museum. In her free time, Florence enjoyed all of what Mother Nature had to offer especially working in her garden, walking, watching sports, especially hockey. She loved to Bake and Cook, but Florence will always be remembered as a Loving Person that was always willing to help another individual out.

Mrs. Bartholomew died Sunday evening under the loving care of family and Hospice at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. She is survived by one son, John and Rosie of South Colton, three daughters and their husbands, Grace and Eugene McLaughlin of Horseheads, Rena and Warren Richards of Oswego, Linda and Charles Goolden of Colton, six grandchildren: Jeffrey Richards, Fulton, NY, Jamie Richards of Huntley, Il, Scott Richards, Massena, Andrew Goolden ,Kalispell, Mt, Susan Cole, Boisie,Id. William Bartholomew, Boston,Ma, nine great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Marion Jordan of Canton, and Winifred Fife of Ogdensburg. She was predeceased by a grandson, James D. Bartholomew of Massena also predeceased by two brothers, Charles Jones of Akron,Oh, and Robert Jones of Lisbon. Born in Lisbon, on November 7, 1915 the daughter of William and Rena ( Fisher) Jones. Graduate of Madrid High School and Canton Agriculture Institute. She married L. James Bartholomew August 8, 1935 at the Scotch Presbyterian Church, Chipman, with Rev. David T. Robertson, her uncle officiating. Mr. Bartholomew passed away April 18, 1993. She and her husband owned and operated Grassyland Stock Farm on the Madrid-Chase Mills Road for 62 years where she was activley engaged in farming alongside her husband. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her family beyond measure. Some of her happiest moments were baking cookies and pies for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a passion for gardening both vegetable and flowers and she enjoyed needlework. She was a communicant of the United Church of Madrid as well as past member of the Farm Bureau and Morley Grange. Mrs. Romeo died Monday morning (June 23, 2008), under the loving care of her family at the Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY where she had been a patient for the past 2 1/2 weeks. Surviving Margaret E. Romeo are two daughters; Mrs George ( Nancy ) Rudyof Canandaigua, NY, and Mrs. Joseph ( Jenny ) Dougherty of Webster, NY. She was predeceased by a son Samuel Kaner in April 22,1992. She was also predceased by a brother Patrick Murphy. Margaret E. Romeo was born in Malone, NY September 23, 1922 , the daughter of Charles and Jennie (Gonyea) Murphy. She was educated in Massena Schools. Married Harold Kaner June 2, 1946 in Syracuse, N.Y. Mr. Kaner died March 6, 1961. She later married Bruno J. Romeo June 13, 1966 at the Church of the Sacred Heart by Rev. Msgr. Herbert Hannan. Mr. Romeo died September 23, 1993. Mrs. Romeo was the Office Cashier for many years at M.H. Fishman's Store in Massena. She enjoyed traveling, reading and doing ceramics. Since 1995 she had resided in Webster to be near her daughters.

Wyatt went to be with his lord on Monday (June 23, 2008), results due to from complications of surgery. Born December 9, 2004 in Ogdensburg the son of Lois Caskinett and Louis Mandigo. Wyatt is survived by his parents, sisters Jacequelynn Caskinett, Crissy Mandigo and Justice Mandigo, brother Brian Mandigo. Grandmothers, Ethel Caskinett, and Maria Mandigo. Several cousins, aunts and uncles. Paul and Lisa Vallance of Lisbon, NY Kimmarie and Steve Baker of Canton, NY, Cathy and Jeff Vallance of Madrid, NY. Kathy and Arnold Caskinette of Massena, NY, Kevin and Mona Caskinett of Colton, NY, Karen Caskinett of St. Cloud of Florid. Peggy and Sherry Curran of Norfolk, NY and William Mandigo of Gouverneur, NY. He was predeceased by his grandfather's, Edmund Caskinett, and William Mandigo also by his uncle Eddie Caskinett. Wyatt loved to spend time with his family. Watching movies, and eating chocolate. He loved to go 4 wheeling, loved horses, cars, toy's, his sunglasses and cell phone. He liked to play with Mr. Potatoe Head and especially like snuggling with his mom. It was the wishes of Wyatt's family to donate his organs to help others. A brother, Douglas and wife Debra LaFlair of Mascoutah, Illinois. Brother-in-law, Wayne and Brenda Jones of Marietta, OK and sister-in-law, Merle Jones of Moore, OK. Several nieces and nephews. Gloria was born on May 8, 1943 in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of the late Leonard and Josephine (Yerdon) LaFlair. She was predeceased by her husband Jerry on April 17, 2005. She was married to Jerry L. Jones on November 25, 1963. Gloria worked as a clerk for Jacobs Mfg. and for the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, Conn. where she lived for 29 years. In her free time, Gloria enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the Casino, making crafts, and especially meditating as she sat on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. Donations may be directed to the Madrid or Waddington Rescue Squads.

Donald Manfred officiating the services. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery There will be no calling hours. Helena A. Dupuis went to be with her lord on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Massena Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her son, James Dupuis and companion, sandy Legault, of Massena, NY; daughters and son-in-law, Jackalin Wilcox of Massena, NY and Joannne and Michael Jacob of Gaylesville, Al. Sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Brian Jones of Cornwall, Ont. Ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five nieces all of Cornwall, Ont. Helena was predeceased by her loving husband, Garfield Dupuis in 1992 and daughter Jadean Dupuis in 1975. Mrs. Dupuis was born in Cornwall, Ontario on April 9, 1932 to the late James and Lorette (Lalonde) Primeau. She was married to Garfield Dupuis on September 24, 1949. Helena worked for Alcoa for 6 years as a cafeteria worker. She was an avid bingo player and loved to watch Nascar, especially her favorite driver, Rusty Wallace. Donations may be directed to the American Heart Assoc, or to the St. Lawrence county Humane Society.
