A Celebration of Life for Joseph B Osypiewski, 59, of 3 Chase Mills Road, Chase Mills, NY will be held August 4, 2008 at 8:00 PM at the  Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 2-4 & 7-8 PM at the funeral home.

Joseph passed away on  Friday (August  1, 2008), at home in Chase Mills, NY under the loving care of his family and Hospice after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his a daughter, Caitlin Osypiewski of Heuvelton, and three sons, Benjamin of Massena, Nikolas of Chase Mills N.Y. Lucas of Chase Mills, N.Y. His former ex wife Danielle. A sister, and brother, Joanne Weaver of Mechanicsburg, Pa. and Dennis Osypiewski of Akron, NY. 

Born January 19, 1949 in North Tonawanda NY, the son of  Ben and Josephine (Lewandowski)  Osypiewski.

He served in Vietnam in the US Army.

He married Danielle Gemme on May 12, 1972 in North Tonawanda.

He was employed for 25 years at NY Power Authority as an electrician.

He  was a member of  American Legion Post #420. 

He enjoyed fishing, poker games, gardening, spending time with his family, friends, and watching over his dogs and cats.

He was also always ready to enjoy a good time.

Funeral services for Alice C. St. Thomas, 91, formerly of 45 W. Orvis St. and Tenesse, were private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be 10 :00 am Wednesday August 6, 2008 in Ellenburg Center Riverside Cemetery .
 

Mrs. St. Thomas went to be with her Lord Wednesday (July 30, 2008), at NHC in Columbia, TN. where she had resided for the past several years.

She is survived by her children Kathy and husband Ralph Perkins of Massena, N.Y., Wanda Sauve, Columbis, TN, Debra and husband Jamie Wright of Brooksville, Fla. Dale Keough of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Gary St. Thomas of Clyde, N.Y.
many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren, sisters Naomi Keough, Marjorie and Rowe and Thelma and husband John Grenier all of Ellenburg, N.Y. several neices and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter Marlene Premo Mustaffa, two grandsons, Michale Premo and Antonio Alaimo, sisters, Keatherine Rowe, Bertha Baker, Agnes Bertrand, brothers, Jon ,Clinton Arthur, Joseph and Morton Cole .

Born September 19, 1916 in Ellenburg, NY, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Moore) Cole.

She married Lawrence Keough, he predeceased her on June 9, 1945, she later married Ernest L. St. Thomas on September 28, 1948 he predeceased her on January 9, 1976. She resided in the Massena area after marriage. She was a devoted mother and housewife.

Funeral services for infant Daniel J. Lawrence, of 171 Water St.  Massena, NY will be held Monday August 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Rev. Donald Manfred officiating.   Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Massena.

Daniel was still born Thursday (July 31, 2008), at Massena Memorial Hospital in Massena, NY.

He is survived by his parents Belinda (Favreau) and Michael Lawrence. A half sister Tawny Martin of Rooseveltown, paternal grandmother, Tina Gollinger,Massena, Paternal great grandparents, Dick and Sharon Lawrence of Massena, Carol Derouchie of Massena. Maternal grandparents Trudy & Jim Blair of Alburgh, VT, Maternal great grandparents Nancy & John Nolan Chateugay, Newman and Joanne Favreau. Aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services for  Ellen G. Tracy age 81 of 72 W. Main St., Norfolk, NY will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM in St. Raymonds Church, Raymondville, NY with Rev. Andrew Amyot officiating the services. Internment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville, NY.

Friends are invited to call at the Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews St., Massena on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9PM.  Internment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville, NY.

Ellen went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2008  at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her family. 

She is survived by her daughter, Janeen M. Simmons of Waddington, NY.  Sons and daughters-in-law, William and Faye Simmons of Potsdam, NY; Robert and Gail Simmons of Wanakena, NY.  Four grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Ellen is also survived by her Brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Patricia LaDue of Hamlin, NY; Joseph and Caroline LaDue of Waddington, NY; Angus and Margaret LaDue of Norfolk, NY; Charles and Marilyn LaDue of Norfolk, NY.  Sisters, Josephine Paige of Norfolk, NY; Ella Simmons of Louisville, NY; Margaret Simmons of Oswegatchie, NY.  

Mrs. Tracy was predeceased by her husbands, Clifford Simmons on May 2, 1951 and David Tracy on December 9, 1996.  Brothers, Frederick and Albert LaDue.  Sister, Jeanette LaDue and grandaughter, Deborah Leonard-Prentice. 

Mrs. Tracy was born on April 25, 1927 to the late Joseph and Jeanette (Eurto) LaDue.  She attended school in both Massena and Clifton Fine. 

She was married to Clifford Simmons on October 14, 1943 in Columbus, GA. 

Ellen went to work at the Wanakena Ranger School in the Food Services Department. 

After the loss of her first husband, Ellen married David Tracy on March 3, 1958 in Gouverneur, NY. 

Mrs. Tracy retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years of dedicated services. 

In her free time, Ellen enjoyed, Gardening, Flowers, Reading, playing cards and loved to attend live theatre performances. 

She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society  at St. Hubert'ss Church in Star Lake where she also taught religious education classes. 

Ellen was a girl Scout Troop leader for numerous years and also worked on  the Clifton Fine Hospital Auxiliary.   

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the St. Lawrence County Hospice and Palliative Care or to the American Heart Association in Ellen's memory.

Funeral services for Carl G. Therrian, 66 of Brouse Rd, Massena will be Tuesday 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Bernard Menard presiding, Interment will be Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.

Mr Therrian went to be with the Lord Friday afternoon August 8, 2008. he was a cancer patient at Fletcher Allen Medical Center.

Surviving Carl G. Therrian is his wife of nearly 28 yrs Elizabeth ( Betty), four daughters; Karen Wood, Mrs Raymond ( Kate ) Boice both of Massena, Mrs Paul ( Julie) Aufschlager of East Emhurst,NY. Mrs Aaron ( April ) Gravelle of Norwood,NY six grandchildren and two grt grandchildren, a brother Joseph Bodah of Altona, NY. a sister Joanne Bodah of Washington, several neices and nephews, he was predeceased by two brothers: Armand Therrian and Roger Bodah.

Born in Plattsburgh, NY August 14, 1941 the son of Carl and Unetha ( Clark ) Therrian Bodah.

He was employed as a forklift operator at Alcoa for over 25 yrs. Retiring in 1999.

Married Elizabeth ( Betty) LaBarge November 19, 1960 at Holy Angel's' Church. Altona by Rev. Lalonde.

He was a member of the Sons of the Amvets Post # 4 in Massena, member of the 25 yrs Club at Alcoa, He enjoyed hunting. He and his wife spent their winters in Zephr Hills Fl.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard Winter Cancer Center or the Hope Lodge in Burlington, VT.

Funeral services for Beatrice L. Palmer, 81 of 282 Hall Rd, Massena will Wednesday at 4 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena, NY with Rev. James Barnes officating. Interment will be Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall, Ontario.

Calling hours for Mrs. Palmer will be held Tuesday from 7- 9 pm and Wednesday from 2 pm until the time of services.

Mrs. Palmer went to be with her Lord Saturday morning at Upstate University Medical Center, Syracuse where she had been a patient for the past week.

Among her survivors are two daughters: Ellen Ayotte of Rooseveltown and Kathleen Palmer and her husband John Essman of Healdsburg, Ca. three grandchildren, three grt grandchildren, a brother and a sister: Walter Solly and Marjorie McAteer both of Cornwall, Ontario, numerous neices, nephews and cousins .She was also predeceased by her son in law Micheal Ayotte 1997.

Born August 19, 1926 in Cornwall, Ontario the daughter of Edward and Mary Sophia ( Merryweather) .

Married Edward P. Palmer November 1, 1958 . He predeceased her February 1997.

At one time Mrs. Palmer was employed as a machine operator at Courtalt's LTD in Cornwall, Ont later at the Cornwall Paper Mill.

She later moved to New York State in 1958. She and her late husband Edward resided in Sacramento ,Ca.

They returned to Cherry Valley, NY and resided here in Rooseveltown for the past 10 yrs.

Mrs. Palmer enjoyed sewing and crafts for her family, traveling, flower gardening and cats especially her favorite cat "Mitsy".

She was a member of the Akwesane Senior Citizens.

Memorial contributions to the Massena Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.

Brittany went to be with her lord Monday (August 11, 2008). in Phoenix, Az.

She is survived by her parents, Shirlee Wing of Phoneix, AZ, Thomas Bennett of Watertown, N.Y. A brother Daniel Thomas Bennett Wing of Phoenix, Ariz.grandparents, Sally Wing of Oregon, Troyce and Patsy Bennett of Houston, Texas. aunt and uncles, Dale and Sue Kramer of Massena, Thomas Wing of Phoneix, AZ.

Brittany was born December 26, 1992 in Houston, TX, the daughter of Thomas Bennett and Shirlee Wing.

She was in the 10 th grade at Thunderbird High School in Phoneix, AZ. and formerly a student the New Testament Christian Academy in Massena before moving back to Phoenix this summer.

She loved to sing dance, listen to music and drama, but most importantly liked the time she spent with her mom.

Memorial services for Iona R. Prashaw, 73, of 375 LaComb Road Norfolk, NY will be held Saturday August 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the St. Raymond's Church in Raymondville, with Rev. Andrew J. Amyot presiding.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Iona passed away  Wednesday (August 13, 2008), at Upstate University Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph and Karen Prashaw of Norfolk, N.Y. Eric and Deborah Prashaw of Massena, N.Y. Grandchildren, Meghan, Joshua, Zachary, JonPaul, Travis, Lindsey. Great grandchildren, Joey, Tanner, ViVinene. Two sisters, Constatnce Euto of Norfolk, N.Y.Phyllis LaDue of Norfolk, N.Y. Three brothers,Wendell Monroe Hollis Monroe, Donald Monroe all  of Norfolk, N.Y.

She was predeceased by a granddaugther, Jaime Prashaw on April 17, 2003, brothers, Ralph, Henry, David, Claude, and George Monroe, sisters, Carol Fleury, Ianthia Jones,Cleodore Porter. 

Born September 12, 1934 in Norfolk, NY, the daughter of Henry and  Grace (Jessmer) Monroe. She graduated from Norwood-Norfolk School and attended beautician school in Syracuse.

She married Gerald F. Prashaw on March 17, 1958 in Potsdam, the marriage was later blessed by Rev. Everett Denesha at St. Raymond's Church on March 17, 1970. 

Mr. Prashaw predeceased her on June 18, 1981.

She was the co-owner of Ace Sanitation with her husband.

She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Norfolk, and past member of the Altar & Rosary Society of Raymondville and Massena.

She enjoyed gardening and  spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Paul Love of Norfolk, NY.  Daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Mark Morrell of Massena, NY.  Son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Amanda Love of Massena, NY.  Sister and brother-in-laws, Margaret and Dennis Wallace of Sleepy Hollow, NY; Patricia and David Concis of Melbourne, FL.; Joan Roden of Syracuse, NY; Gail and Chris Cameron ofCohoes, NY; and Kathleen and Dean Allen of Pulaski, NY.  Brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Kathy Phillips of  Brookfield, Ct.  ; Thomas and Kathy Phillips of Norwood, NY; William and Christine Phillips of  Rockford, MI;    Gary and Susan Phillips of Plattsburgh, NY.  Elizabeth is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexis, Xylar, Jocelynn, Devin, and Katelyn all of Massena, NY and several nieces and nephews.  

Mrs. Love was predeceased by her son,  Daryl James Love and by her brother, Francis"Frankie" Phillips. 

Mrs. Love was born on June 16, 1945 in Plattsburgh, NY to the late Harold and Alice (Delaney) Phillips.  She graduated from the Massena School of Business. 

On June 4, 1976, Elizabeth married Paul Love at the St. Lawrence Church in Louisville, NY. 

Mrs. Love was a homemaker but in her free time she enjoyed knitting, fishing, reading books, watching Game Show's, Soap Opera's and her favorite baseball team the Yankees, but she most importantly cherished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.  

Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph's Church.

Funeral services for Thomas Charles French Sr., age 58, of 128 South Racquette River Road Massena, NY will be held on Friday August 22, 2008 at 8:30 PM at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena with the Rev. Benard Menard officiating the services. 

Friends are invited to call on  Friday, August 22, 2008 from  7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. 

Funeral Service will follow calling hours, and will begin at 8:30 PM.   Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  

Mr. French went to be with his Lord on Monday August 18,2008 at his home unexpectedly.  

He is survived by his children, Angela " Angel" Dunkelberg and husband, Daniel of Waddington, N.Y.  Thomas C. Jr. and wife Nancie French, Tracy M. and wife Karla French,David and wife Deborah LaBarge, Jack and wife Roxann LaBarge all of Shoals, Ind.   A sister, Kathy Baker of Midlan, Texas.   Brothers, Stephen French of Massena, N.Y. and Frances and wife Sherry French of Massena, N.Y. 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  His long time companion Marylin Gardner of Massena. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Betty Gardner and Jane Hebert, and a brother William French. 

Thomas was born March  5, 1950 in Massena, NY, the son of Frances and Una Mary (Sova) French.

He was employed as a laborer working for Craig Donnelly Construction.

He enjoyed NASCAR racing and watching the races with his nephew Terry Gardner, his favorite driver was Dale Earnhart Sr.

He loved to hunt.

He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Scott went to be with her Lord Friday morning (August 22, 2008) at her home surrounded by her loving family and care of Hospice.

Surviving Alice I. Scott is her husband of 58 years, Milton, three daughters and a son; Mrs. Richard (Julie) LaBrake of Newark,OH, Mrs. David ( Nancy) Rowland of Ogdensburg, NY Mrs. Phil (Diane) Brown of Louisville, Jay and wife Patricia Scott of Clay, NY, seven grandchildren, a great grandchild, two brothers; Jack Young of Shelbyville, IL. Ray Young of Reno, NV., several nieces and nephews

Mrs. Scott was born July 26, 1930 in Churubusco, NY, the daughter of Andrew and Alice (Barbeau) Young.

Married Milton J. Scott July 1, 1950 at St. Mary's Church by Rev. Earl Nichols.

At one time she was employed at the Massena Mica Plant and later at Warner Brothers Garment Plant also in Massena, She later worked at the lunch counter a J.J. Newberry's Dept. Store in Massena.

She was a communicant of St Mary's Church.
