CommentJohn was a special friend although we had not crossed paths in the last 2-3 years. Living in Michigan for the last 30 yrs. kept us apart but we did in years passed play some golf at the Massena Country Club when he was the pro. I first got to know John when he came out for football as a freshman.....he was a true athlete and always a team player. His loss to the family will take forever to heal but their memories and ours of John, will remain with all until we meet again in that home the good Lord has prepared for us all. God bless and confort the entire Marich family.

CommentKathy, my heart goes out to you. It is very difficult to loose the man you have loved for many years. Time, friends, and family will only easy the loss.
John was one of the first people that I met when Bill and I moved to Massena. I will never forget his coming to the rescue when I had a car wreck and wound up turning the car upside down on what I called the 'run way'. We had many a good laughs about that, but more importantly, he made sure that I was ok and waited by my side.
I know he will surely be missed by many of his friends and family.

CommentCathy and Jovan and family. I would like to say how sorry I am in the passing of John. A true loss for the north country as John was a very well known person around this area. I've known John for a very long time since I started playing golf at Massena CC. He always had a kind word for all and treated me with the utmost respect as he did for all folks in the Massena area. He will be missed greatly by many people whether by his former athletic team mates or by all who knew him personally or professionaly. He will be missed by his co-workers at Alcoa also.
