Ailsie Jane Dowe Online Condolence
CommentWe just heard about Aunt Jane's passing. I have some very fond memories of Aunt Jane and Uncle Joe. I grew up just across the bridge in Raymondville and can remember visiting them frequently. Aunt Jane would always be baking cookies or something and would always offer us some. You could usually find Uncle Joe outside in the garden or doing some yard work. When I was in the Army and serving in Korea, Lila would stop by with our two children and visit them. Later on in life when my father (Frank) lived with Lila and I we would stop by for a visit and Aunt Jane would light up when my father came into the room. It was interesting watching them communicate as both were very hard of hearing and I would usually have to write it down and pass it to each of them. She was such a blessing and she will always have a special place in our hearts. Frank & Lila Arquitt
CommentOur deepest sympathy to your family.
CommentMy deepest sympathy to the family of Jane. I never got a chance to meet her but have heard a lot of nice things about her. I am a grand-daughter to Carl Ellis, who was a brother to Jane's mother Winnie. I have a genealogy database for the Ellis family and if anyone has any information or stories they would like to share, please contact me. Again my sympathy to all who knew and loved Jane.
