My thoughts and prayers are extended to the the Lauterbach family. Rev Lauterbach was a wonderful person to know and certainly a person that you would always enjoy the company of. In growing up and living in Heauvelton he was a wonderful neighbor. I have often thought about and will always remember his times playing in the band. Rev Lauterbach touched the lives of many people....

My thoughts are with the family of Rev. Lauterbach. He made going to worship fun. He was a very thoughtful person. We will always remember the support that he gave to the Heuvelton Band. He was one in a million. They say God takes the good ones, well he's got one of the BEST!!! Love, Sue Roach

My condolences go out to his family. Rit was my pastor growing up in Heuvelton at the First Presbyterian Church where I still attend services. I measure new pastors against him. He was a great pastor and a great man. He will be missed.

"Mr." Lauterbach was my minister growing up in Windsor. He is the minister I compare all others to. I still have a copy of his "What Decorations go on a Christmas Tree" service - my favorite that I have shared with other preachers. My thoughts go out to all in his family, especially Ann and Amy. - Geoff

To Joan and Rit's family and friends, One of my first introductons to the North Country and Presbyterian Stone Church outside of Ogdensburg in 1984 came from Rit when the Heuvelton Church was the place where I preached my first sermon for the Call Committe of Stone Church. Rit's manner was so helpful even with my rookie mistakes that it left me with a good experience with my first time in the pulpit. When I was installed at Stone Church Rit gave the Charge to the Congregation. My prayers and condolences to you all. Thanks be to God for his life well lived in service to church and community .

To the family of Rev. Lauterbach: He touched so many people at least once, however I (Chuck) was able to be touched three times. He supported me through the death of my first wife, Marie, performed the marriage of myself and my second wife, Linda, and co-performed the marriage of my daughter, Gidget as well as becoming very good friends. Please believe that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Sincerely Chuck and Linda Bowden, formerly of Ogdensburg, New York now Haines City, Florida.
