CommentDear Gail, Debbie, Eric, Greg and Tina and family. We were sad to hear of Chuck's death. It seemed he was too young. We still remember our time in Myrtle Beach and have the pictures for our memories. We are in Silver Springs Florida for the winter but know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are living in our camper as Chuck and Gail used to do. We consider it a priviledge to have known him. God Bless

CommentTo the Stahl family,
I had the pleasure to teach with Chuck at SLC, including sharing a study hall with him my first year teaching. He "taught" me a lot about dealing with students and how to run a constructive study hall. I always enjoyed talking to Chuck about all of the interesting adventures he had.
Doug worked with Chuck on many negotiating teams and was always impressed with his professionalism.
Please accept our sincere condolences at his passing. We will remember him and your family in our prayers.

CommentDear Debbie and family,
I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to you for the loss of your father. Back when we were kids and could walk across the Massena Center Bridge, I recall many times going across and interacting with your family at KOA. The families of the Center were a close knit group back then.
I wish you the strength to move through these trying times with your family and that better times will find you soon.
I do extend my warmest wishes.

CommentTo the Stahl Family - Chuck and I were high school classmates in Gouverneur. Although we lost touch as so many friends do over the years, I was fortunate to renew that friendship in more recent years when visiting he and Gail in Massena. I know he will be dearly missed and I will remember he and your family in my prayers.

CommentTo The Stahl Family,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Both Michael and I were students of his at SLC. He was a wonderful teacher he always inspired us in his class. Writing every question and answer so that we actually would learn what the answer was....
May God give him eternal rest and may his soul rest in peace! All my sympathy is with you his family, Friends and OUR school from the students who had him and those who never did such a sad sad loss to the whole City. Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of Mr. Stahl. It is very unfortunate for those who are left behind, and those who never were touched by such a caring man; who tried to make everyone feel welcomed and tried to teach them about history his favoritve subject.
I am never good at "these things", but I felt compelled to let you know how much I appreciated his dedication to SLC-Larries, the kids of SLC and the whole city of Brasher Falls and how incredibly helpful and kind he was to each person he came into contact with.
Mr. Stahl 's memory will be eternal............
Please be strong and accept our condolences!
God bless and keep you,
Nancy LaClair, John and Jessyca Dimick and Michael Fregoe North Lawrence, New York

CommentDear Mrs. Stahl and Family,
I was sorry to hear of Mr. Stahl's recent passing. I was a student of his at SLC, around 1973-74 and enjoyed and learned alot from his classes. He was an excellent teacher and made learning fun. I was at United Helpers last Thursday visiting my Aunt Sally in Rm 121 and I walked past Mr. Stahl as I was leaving and thought he looked familiar but didn't realize that he was residing there until I read the paper today and learned of his passing. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to say hello at that time. Please accept my condolences for a wonderful person.

CommentDear Stahl family,
My deepest sympathies for your loss. Mr. Stahl was one of my favorite teachers at SLC. He was also my class advisor throughout high school. He took the time to get to know each of us individually and truly wanted us to succeed. We laughed and learned together. May you find comfort and strength in knowing he was respected and loved by many. His big heart and booming laughter will be greatly missed. God bless.

CommentI was sorry to learn about Chuck's passing. We were friends at Potsdam State and often talked about our plans for graduate school and beyond. I am happy to learn that he continued his education (as I did) and that he practiced what we preached in Kappa Delta Pi. He will be missed....

CommentI just received an email from a classmate- SLC '68, about Mr. Stahl and I had to leave a message for his family. He was a wonderful teacher and helped inspire my love of history. He was also a great person and I feel very lucky to have had him as a teacher. I know I teach today because of teachers like Mr. Stahl who shared so much with their students. He will not be forgotten.
