I am so sorry to read of Melody's passing in North Country.now, today. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
So many times, I think fondly of our times together and of our friendship. In fact, on the 23rd of Dec. I remembered it was Melody's birthday. Funny how some things just stick with you through the years. I will always remember how good Melody was to all of us, through our times together. Our deepest sympathy to you and yours.

CommentI was saddened to read the obituary of Mel tonight in the paper. Mel was the cook at the Canton house when I went thru it in 1998. I'd like to say that Mel was more than just the cook. She took the time to get to know each and everyone of us while treating us with much kindness and respect. Mel was also supportive with words of encouragement and inquiries into how we were doing. I later worked at the McDonalds in Canton where occassionally she would stop in. She always remembered who I was, always asked me how I was doing which meant alot to someone like me in early recovery. Sadly I haven't seen her in awhile but if I could have one last visit I'd like to tell her that I have over 11 years sober and thank her for her part in that. Unquestionably she did play a part in my success, she was a dear woman who I'm sure will be missed by many. I can only pray and hope to see her again someday. God bless to Mel, her family and friends.

CommentI was sad to hear of Mel's passing. I have known Mel and her family for many years and she always had a kind word for everyone. She will be sadly missed.

CommentMy friendship with Mel was brief. My memory of her will always be of the warmth and kindness I felt while in her presence. God blessed those of us who knew her.
