CommentCheri and family,
Were so very sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I still can't believe when Jessie called to tell me, it all seemed unreal. I want you to know that I love you all and my heart goes out to the whole family in this trying time. Joan was a wonderful woman...and she will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Cheri, remember... as we both know, that our loved ones are always with us. I want you to know I LOVE YOU and really wish I could be there for you....as you were for me many years ago. If you need anything please call me. With deepest sympathy to the whole family. Take Care and Godbless.
Much Love
Your best friend Kelly and Chris Jesmer

CommentCory & Carrie,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. While I didn't know your mom, I know Cory, who is a wonderfully kind and gentle man. I can only believe that your mom had a huge hand in helping you to be the great person that you are.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Know that I am here for you in any capacity needed!

CommentCory and Family my deepest sympathies to all.
Joan will always be with you in spirit and in your memories but she will be sadly missed by all.
Cory, Carrie, Gage and Chase – You guys know how much your mother/grandmother meant to me, it won’t be the same on those August nights when we play Softball and she’s not there to watch.
Take comfort in the fact that she isn’t suffering. She was a tremendous lady and her memories will live in your hearts forever.
Please know that my thoughts are with you always, but especially during this time. You guys are such great friends, and have always been there for me (especially 8 years ago). Know that if you need anything please just pick up the phone. I love you guys…
My heart goes out to everyone that knew Joan……….
May she rest in peace with the Lord.

CommentDear Betty, I was so sorry to find about Joan's passing. I am in south Alabame but often check North country news. I always feel badly when I see a name in the obits for someone I knew but Joan's hit me hard. We were great friends in our younger years and will always remember our how much fun we had camping in Hawanna Falls when your Mom took time to stay with 1
10 of us--bad girls who never did anything bad but play Canastra all night! (also smoke Lucky Strikes ). My prayers are with you and her. God bless!

CommentTo Joan's family, I am so sorry to learn of Joan's passing. She was a remarkable woman and I was blessed to work with her at Massena Central Schools. I was given this monumental task of compiling Medicaid information for Special Education for a period of 20 years and a short time limit to do this project. Joan was hired to help me and I could not have done it without her help. During that time, we worked closely towards attaining this impossible goal and I can tell you one thing, her personality and gentle spirit kept us going. I learned so much about her and the family as we worked together. I respected and admired her. I felt that we were friends and she added a breath of fresh air every day. She was known throughout the school system and loved. She was the type of woman who was gracious and smart and funny. She had a lovely spirit. She was a king person and she loved her family. Big time. She made a difference in my life and others as well. I believe those of us who worked with Joan, feel so blessed to have had that time together with her. She was a good person. I was proud to call her friend. So, my prayers are with you all. Just wanted to share what a wonderful person I felt she was although you all already knew that she was wonderful. Take care. CommentI was so sorry to hear that Joan had passed away. I only hope she did not suffer. I had always truely admired her, I wish I had told her that. I wish I was able to give you all a hug. Corey, you were there for me and the boys when my dad died, I am sorry I can not be there for you-I know how much your mom meant to you. I am sorry my children have lost their grandmother, I know they hold many fond memories of her. Chuck, Chris, Colleen and Cheri, I cant imagine what you are going through to loose your mom especially so soon after loosing your sister.(I am sorry I recently heard Cathy had passed away this summer.)To Carrie and Jessie, I am sorry for your loss, I know you have many, many wonderful memories of your grandmother and Baily his great grandmother. To Shirley, I am sorry for the loss of your dear friend for many years, it must be hard. I am glad you are there for my children also. To Betty and Judy, I imagine loosing your sister is one of the hardest things to deal with in life. I know you were lifelong friends as well as sisters. (I remember many stories you all shared) Joan is at peace, reunited with her parents, her babies and Cathy. I can only imagine right now she is looking down on you and wondering why everyone is fussing so much and Cathy is probably telling a joke, and she is laughing, she was always laughing!

CommentIt is with great sadness that I write this. I Loved Joan. We grew up together on Ames Street and would get together with her and Cathie in Florida when Joan would visit. Such sadness when Cathie died and now Joan. We should treasure every moment we have with people we love because we never know when it will be the last. My heart goes out to her children and her sisters Betty and Judy. Love to all.

CommentWe were sorry to read about your mother. Her last few years have been very difficult, I'm sure. We're in South Carolina, so we just heard.
May you find comfort in knowing her time will be easier now.
